Alcohol
Alcohol has been red-listed as a known carcinogenic for a while. It’s in the dangerous Group no.1 according to the WHO. Alcoholic beverages also take a toll on your liver and your overall health.
While it is true consuming small amounts of alcohol is somewhat healthy, mainly if you drink a few glasses of red wine a week, the substance is linked to liver, breast, throat, stomach, and bowel cancers.
An adequate alcohol consumption comprises a maximum of two drinks for men and one drink for women a day. Wine is preferred, followed by beer — two drinks with low alcohol by volume. Spirits are even more dangerous, sometimes having as much as 50% alcohol by volume.
