Inulin is plant’s source of energy. You might have never heard of it, but in our bodies, it controls your sugar levels and acts like fiber in your digestive system.
You can get inulin from many plant-based foods, including garlic, leeks, onions, wheat, agave, asparagus, and bananas.
Inulin is a great probiotic too and can support your gut bacteria. Interesting enough, inulin, when isolated, can be a substitute for cooking oils.
