What Is The Morning Banana Diet?

A well-known pharmacist in Japan with the name of Sumiko Watanabe and her husband Hitoshi is the one who established the morning banana diet. Hitoshi wanted to lose weight and since Sumiko was trained in herbal medicine, she told him to eat a banana in the morning and drink a cup of warm water. The other rule was to not eat anything past 8 pm. He tried that experiment and it worked.

The morning banana diet has a set of rules like every diet. And the first rule is that if you are on this particular diet, you can eat more than one banana if you like without overstuffing yourself. Be sure to drink the warm water after eating the bananas. It is also important to only have bananas that are either frozen or raw.

Then for lunch, you can choose to eat anything you like as long as you are moderately and comfortably full. In other words, do not stuff yourself. Therefore, if you want to eat that pasta salad, you can go ahead and eat it until you are satisfied.

You will need an afternoon snack as well and it is best to eat healthy options such as fruit or even a piece of toast. You can eat a couple of cookies or have some chocolate. However, you will want to avoid ice cream or pastries. When it comes to dinner, you can eat what you choose as well but don’t eat dinner within four hours of your bedtime.

This diet also does not allow you to drink alcohol but if you are using the modified version of this diet, you can sometimes drink beer or wine in moderation. Therefore, if you feel like having a small glass of wine at dinner time, in some cases you may be able to do that.

Now that you are aware of this morning banana diet, you can try it out. And even if you don’t want to go on it, you can still eat one banana and have a cup of warm water after, and as long as you are careful with what you eat during the rest of the day, you will achieve your weight loss goal.
