The rings of eternity, that’s how Ancient Egyptians described onion rings. The versatile bulb was a token of good luck, especially for people in the afterlife. Lying around some bulbs in people’s tombs could ensure your loved ones a successful trip to the underworld.
We guess onion breath is the least of your problems once you cross over to the realm of the dead.
